Meditation at Perennial

Meditation practice has been around for thousands of years but it seems to be getting lots of attention lately as the “new thing” to do. It’s no longer a practice for just hippies and gurus anymore and the reason so many are turning, or returning, to a meditation practice is because of it’s capacity to bring us to a space of quiet and deep peace within. The essence of meditation is deep listening to our inner wisdom and becoming intimately familiar with our own life and the unfolding of our life in this moment. A meditation practice holds the possibility of not just a fleeting sense of contentment, but coming into an awareness that “your life matters more than you think and more than you can think,” as Jon Kabat-Zinn says.

Sunday Morning Meditation with Sean Ward
Our Sunday morning meditation is a time and a space for you to stop for a moment, to catch your breath and to remember your essential nature, which is deep peace, love, compassion, strength and power. Your time in meditation clears a path, a path obstructed by habitual patterns, false identity and ego, but one that can be made clear again by resting in quiet awareness and reflecting on the Truth of your nature – that you are kindness and compassion. With practice you can learn how to carry your awareness and realization into your daily life so that even when circumstances around you aren’t well, you can still feel a sense of wellbeing towards whatever you’re doing and towards whomever you’re with.
