Kaila Pooler

Kaila Pooler, 200-E RYT and ACE Certified Personal Trainer, found yoga in college while studying for her Fine Arts Degree in Classical Acting as a route to better performance on stage. Years later, Kaila began a full-time fitness career in Madison. Kaila believes in a well-rounded routine to address al the many aspects of your wellness evenly. Her classes feature strong direction in alignment, soothing flow, and a simplicity that will help you to discover who you are again underneath the business of this life. She specializes in working with beginners and those seeking direction for a varied fitness routine.

Amy Speed

When Amy found yoga 16 years ago, she fell in love. For the first time in her life she experienced a physical practice that invited her to connect with her body exactly as it was in that moment. Years of battling weight and self-image issues meant that this idea was liberating for Amy. Life took her away from her practice for a few years, but she never let go of the ideas yoga had introduced to her. After the birth of her second child 5 years ago, Amy was once more called back to her mat. Now, through a dedicated practice she finds yoga allows her to bring more presence, patience, strength and gratitude into her life.
As a teacher, Amy uses her experiences to authentically connect with her students. Expect her classes to balance an invitation for physical challenge through thoughtful sequencing and strong holds with moments of surrender to integrate body, mind and heart. It also should be mentioned that she loves to laugh, and works tirelessly on not taking herself too serious. Amy received her 200-hour training at The Studio in Madison, WI. She is also a certified Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga instructor.

Nora Groeschel

Nora Groeschel found yoga in 2012 at a time she was craving balance on multiple levels: physical, mental, and spiritual. The practice welcomed her to find a new understanding of self-love and self-acceptance. It introduced the beauty of the human body and the joy that living in the moment can bring. Her classes will invite you to embrace the present moment, to let go of expectations and perfectionism, and to challenge yourself to breathe through a dynamic vinyasa flow. Nora became a registered yoga teacher (RYT200) at Perennial Yoga & Meditation, Fitchburg, WI in May 2014. She is also a facilitator for a community outreach group - Eat, Breathe, Thrive – which uses yoga to reconnect the body, mind, and spirit in people struggling with disordered eating and body image concerns.

Victoria Ortgiesen

Victoria’s decision to pursue her RYT200 certification stemmed from a deep passion for the practice. She attended her first yoga class to counteract the stresses she encountered as a competitive athlete, but as her interest piqued after noticing the profound benefits of her practice- both on and off the mat- she realized she wanted to help others achieve the overwhelming sensations of peace, well-being, and confidence she experienced as a devoted and determined student of yoga.

Victoria encourages her students to challenge their assumptions- but not set expectations as a way to define their unique yoga experience. Her teachings aim to strike a thoughtful balance between powerful and poised; keeping class fun, supportive and inspiring. She believes that by allowing your practice to be a creative celebration of who you are, you feel presence and peace wherever you are.

Sarah Peters

Sarah is a true seeker. In 2005, she found her way to yoga seeking healing physically and emotionally. Yoga has been the catalyst to finding her connection within herself, freedom to quiet the chaos, and tune it to her intuition. Her passion for healing and her gift to hold space for others, drives her to show up on her mat. Following her compassionate and committed heart, she completed her 200 RYT certification in 2017 at Perennial Yoga with Meg Sirchio and Keith Borden. Sarah’s classes embody her knowledge of years of a committed yoga practice and is complimented by her experience as an Occupational Therapist and use of bodywork. She looks forward to holding a safe space to explore and seek together through breath, rhythm, embodiment, and presence.

Sophia Maria Janus

Sophie feels blessed to have found yoga so early in life as she has seen an outstanding transformation from a stressed, self-conscious, and grieving teenager into a light-hearted, open, and grounded human being through its endless benefits. As her dedicated mat practice turned into a longing for a deeper understanding of yoga, she sought out the teacher training program at The Studio in Madison, WI, and received her RYT200 in June 2017. She continues to be fascinated by our bodies’ abilities to move in such beautiful ways in coordination with breath while building inner strength. Sophie’s classes encourage students to tune in to their breath and creative movement through rhythmic flows while maintaining the intention to build physical, mental, and emotional strength from the inside out. Offerings are always invitations to play, laugh, and be mindful of self love.
This class is for the adventurous one! It incorporates challenging postures and moves at a vibrant, exhilarating and uplifting pace.
For students who have a regular practice and who are familiar with the poses. This class requires presence of mind and the self-discipline to know your own limits so you can practice accordingly.
